We're all talking about the great escape here in Singapore this weekend:
No, not just the Muslim terrorist. Also about how our world class government, with its world class resources and a world class security forces, can allow a limping old man escape from a toilet in a detention center. And how he is still at large even after a massive manhunt for the past 5 days.
Also no clue why the minister responsible, who received S$2 million salary and bonuses last year, has not resigned to take the blame for this appalling lapse in security that has made us the laughing stock around the world. And how the "independent inquiry" set up to investigate this matter includes a civil servant from the ministry involved in this incident.
So shameful.
